Ellen Rae Greenberg was a 27 year old first grade teacher from Juniata, Philadelphia. On January 26th, 2011, Ellen was found dead in her apartment with 20 stab wounds, 10 of which were to her back and neck. After the autopsy, the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide. The next day, the Philadelphia Police Department stated “the death of Ellen Greenberg has not been ruled a homicide…Homicide investigators are considering the manner of death as suspicious at this time”.
In February of 2011, her case was officially ruled a suicide. What happened to Ellen Rae Greenberg?
